I engaged the Avenue Design Group to design interiors of my new apartment. Among the various aspects of their engagement, some key elements include but were not limited to:

•Converting existing floor-plans into scalable blueprint for furniture sizing and spacing

•Identifying layout for living and dining rooms
•Recommending furniture/design elements for all rooms and sources from where to buy furniture
•Guiding with practical advice on retaining existing furniture and/or buying new furniture
•Assisting in developing color schemes to complement furniture and choosing paint colors for walls

The mother-daughter team blew me away with their passion, knowledge and experience in interior designing. They introduced me to new ideas, taught me how to look at things differently, understood my budget limitations and, most importantly, worked on my home as if it were their own. This unique approach to each aspect of the job is what distinguishes them from other firms. I wholeheartedly recommend ADG to anyone looking for guidance and assistance in designing or renovating their home.

I am a person who had no experience working with a designer.  I did not want to waste my money so I did extensive research, looked at lots of designer's portfolios, but eventually based my decision on client testimonials.  I hope my words will help you feel great about choosing Carol Dwyer and Avenue Design.  I wish I had found her years ago.  She will take the hassle out of every step of making your home or office into the sort of space that welcomes you. Tell her the "style" you want (and budget) and she will make it happen.  She even helped us come up with the term that defined our style..."spa-like". Once she understands your vision, Carol will bring you options...as many or as few as you like.  For example, we did not want to be overwhelmed so Carol gave us 3-4 vanities to choose between, 3 faucets to consider, 4 paint chips etc.  What I like best is that no matter what item we chose, Carol had a cohesive master plan for the finished look. For the first time in my life, my home looks like a show place. My wife and I also made a wonderful friend along the way. If you're lucky, you will get a chance to work with Carol Dwyer and maybe, just maybe, meet her awesome Golden Retriever, Jake.

We had the good fortune to have chosen Allison Rothbart from a list of highly recommended interior designers given to us by our real estate broker. This was a difficult assignment as we were moving into a smaller apartment after happily living in a much larger one. Not only did Allison have to create a floor plan, she advised us on choosing which of our possessions to move, in order to make the space in our new apartment practical, convenient and stunning. In addition, we told her that we wanted to feel “happy” when we opened the front door – and she had to accomplish all this is 5 weeks time. For some it would have been impossible….for Allison it was done on time and magnificently. She is a very talented designer with a fantastic eye for color and design. She chose fabrics, carpets and wall papers that help to give our apartment a new and very special look. Not only is she a gifted designer and a pleasure to work with, but she respects budget constraints and uses very reliable and excellent vendors. Much of our furniture was recovered and repainted and we are beyond pleased with the results. We owe Allison a true debt of gratitude. It could not have been a happier experience.
